La guerre - toutes les guerres - est un archaisme qui laisse des séquelles épouvantbles. Le travail de l'AQVV en est un fondamental pour soutenir l'humain - notre frère - dans ses souffrances, dans sa quête. Longue vie à elle.

Je tiens à féliciter le Fondateur et ses membres, Américains, Canadiens et Québécois, de cette extraordinaire Association qu?est la vôtre. Le concept de vous commémorez vos expériences représente vraisemblablement un appui pour plusieurs. Nous qui sommes des étrangers à cette guerre qu?est celle du Vietnam, nous ne possédons que peu de connaissance concrète. Seuls les livres et les films ont pu nous révéler les quelques horreurs vécues mais aussi les grandes complicités et le dévouement que vous aviez l?un pour l?autre. Que les rassemblements se perpétuent encore de nos jours n?est qu?une preuve additionnelle de votre attachement et surtout, un signe d?appartenance aux événements qui ont marqués l?histoire. Nous souhaitons longue vie à tous ceux et celles qui ont participées à cette guerre et que leurs mémoires servent d?exemples aux générations futures.

Greetings Brother & Sister Vietnam Veterans, I served in Nam between '66 & '67, was with II Field Force Vietnam, which controlled all combat operations within III and IV CTZ. I was with 25th and the 1st Inf. Div. for various periods of time and locations. Was in The Iron Triangle Operations--"Cedar Falls" and also "Junction City". CuChi, ChuLai,TayNinh and DauTieng were a few of the different theaters I was in while still attached to IIFFV. Also I was responsible for All the Combat Plans that Gen. Westmoreland and my Commanding Lieutenant Gen. Jonathan O. Seaman presented to President Johnson at the Guam Conference, and I was actually there among all those big wigs.
