Livre d'or

We loved staying here. The house is very spacious and open and well equipped. Silke provided absolutely great guidance to the area and the house. There is ample outdoor space for wandering and really nice spots for outdoor gathering, either on the patio by the pool, up the stairs overlooking the forest, or at the braai/ campfire, and all with overhead cover if needed. It is near lionspruit so we could hear lions at night, and our kids liked watching the bush babies bounce through the branches. We fed an amusing bunch of guinea hens. We did not see any big animals this time around, but it could be our children scared them away while "calling" for them. No matter, good time.
Great spot, great host. Recommended.

Silke even took the trouble to call us to check if everything was ok before arrival. The house is really cute. You'll find everything you need, keys easy to get.
We appreciated the family tone of the house. You feel it's a house that Silke takes care of. It was of course clean and fully prepared for our arrival (with short notice !)
We just had one disappointment (nothing to do with the house itself) : during dry season, the park gest rather depressing. We stayed 2 weeks around Kruger park and other places get more water, more animals and were therefore more suitable for kids.

Prachtig huis, prettig ingericht en heel veel ruimte. Huis was brandschoon en de faciliteiten buiten (zwembad, lapa, braai) waren heel prettig. Omgeving bijzonder, wild loopt letterlijk door de tuin en 's nachts hoorden we de leeuwen van het Kruger Park brullen, zo dicht bij het Kruger Park ligt het!

Lovely stay. We drove all the way from Jo'burg (almost 500km) and were really tired. But we felt so at home and relaxed once we reached. It is very nice for a full family of 4 with 2 kids. We get a bedroom each, and there is a mezzanine with extra beds. It is nicely equipped and the 16 page instruction manual was very exhaustive. There was a small problem with the keys but Silke sorted it perfectly and quickly.
The animals around the hut were spectacular. The kids had a great time over the 3 nights we were there.
The location is very convenient and Marloth very beautiful with great sightings of Giraffes, Zebras, Impalas, Kudus, Warthogs, Wildebeests and other herbivores. We did 2 SAN parks safari's from the crocodile gate at Kruger and saw the big 5 twice over. The gate to kruger is a fun 25 minute drive from the Bush hut. We'll be back soon.

Het huis is prachtig gelegen. Silke heeft ons vantevoren uitgebreide informatie gestuurd over het park en alle praktische zaken mbt het huis. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en absoluut een aanrader. De ingang van het Krugerpark is ongeveer 20 minuten rijden.

Silke's bush hut is a perfect place to stay. It has everything you need to spend your holidays and the location, Marloth Park, is great for game viewing and very close to Kruger.
Silke is a very nice and helpful host and we had a very good communication with her during our stay.
Me and my family spent a few nights in the house and we manage to see kudus, impalas, vervet monkeys, zebras, servals and the bush baby. It was a great experience and my family love it.
