I am one of the few Brits who have made it to Auberge Keurmariguen. It is not easy, I had three flights each way, but it proved well, well, worth the trouble. The best of France in a warmer clime. It is small, so that it is not impersonal - far from it, hi Stéphanie, - and it totally lacks all of the hangers-on outside associated with large places. Quiet, tranquil, clean, well-run, an ideal place to get away from it all and relax. Accommodation, food, value, all are excellent, not to be faulted. To find it, go to Google Maps, Somone, home in on ‘Marché aux poissons’; it is within a hundred metres, with trees. Not surprisingly, a bit of French helps. Mine is not good but it proved quite adequate and, by the time I left, it had improved a bit! I went in February; the sun never ceased to shine by day, I saw not a single mosquito and gave up on the antimalarials with which I had equipped myself. I plan to return - and to stay longer next time. A real discovery.
