Hi Lucy, I’m almost certain you don’t remember when this photo was taken, but I do. It was in 2018, during those days when you were helping me prepare for my wedding, searching for the perfect gown and sharing makeup ideas with so much excitement and care.
When I look back, I realize you’ve been present in some of the most meaningful moments of my life; the joyful and the difficult ones. From waking up at 3am to do my makeup on my wedding day, to showing up for me during Covid, bringing friends along just to lift my spirit while I was grieving. That kind of friendship is gold.
The memories we’ve made dancing, praying and studying together are some of those I will always hold close to my heart.
As you step into this next chapter, I’m wishing you the deepest joy, peace, and love. You truly deserve it. ๐

My darling Lucy, mum to my son โค๏ธ
I am so happy for you, for your achievements and the beautiful growth that has led you into this new chapter. Even though this means a kind of “separation” (just 45 minutes away, but do we say!) I will truly miss seeing you around, at the salon, in church and in the everyday moments we’ve shared.
More than twenty years of memories is no small thing. If I ever write a book, you will definitely have your own chapters in it. The laughter, the conversations, the journey, we’ve built something so special and I will carry it with me always.
You are the true definition of love God, love people on the journey of being and making faithful disciples of Christ. You didn’t just walk your faith, you drew me closer to Christ and that is something I will forever be grateful for.
I wish you all the very best in this new season and chapter of your life. May it be filled with even greater purpose, joy and fulfillment.
I love you always.

Dada Lucy,
I’m posting my mums and Aunts picture because I will forever cherish what you did that day.
You picked a late evening call, already tired from a long day and night, but you first said yes to my request and details later. Needless to say ulirauka that morning and made my mum and aunt feel and look beautiful. My mum said you were kind and respectful to her. This is just but one of the times you have come through for me. Your are always ready to help where you can, cheerful, cheer leader of other’s achievements, a great mom and a go getter.
May God continue to keep you, may He provide the desires of your heart according to His perfect will. May He keep you soaring and shinning for His Glory and your benefit. May He enrich your circle there in the Jiji and anywhere else you will go. I’m rooting for you. You Go Girl.
I love you and will see you when we visit.
Do I need to say your brother asked where he will be getting your spicy gizzards when you are gone. Nilimwambia ntampikia, he said it wount be the same. ๐ฆ. Itabidi unipe step by step recipe and forcing issues bila hivo….

Dearest Lucy,
In another life we would be taking photos pale alcapone ama tapas ๐ but the Lord delivered us and the photo is a testament of that.
You are an amazing lady and I will miss you. We are real with each other and you don't get that with a lot of people. We fight like blood sisters ๐ but we always talk it out and laugh after that.
Janury 2026 is a month I will never forget, that early morning phone call was a game changer. God used you to answer my prayer and thank you for heeding the call and being obedient. I am grateful forever ๐
I pray that all your desires will come to pass, may God continue favouring you immensely.
I will miss you but I know I will see you alot. ๐๐

Dear Lucy, aka “Yule Dame!” ๐๐ฝ
My old-school dance mate hadi chee! Whueehh… I had to dig up that Malindi photo because, honestly, the memories! For the few times we’ve interacted, you’ve always been such an incredible vibe. I truly admire your maturity paired with that youthful energy ,you honestly don’t look your age, Lucy!
We may not meet often, but when we do… magoti yataitana! ๐ And as I write this, I’m already looking forward to our dance tomorrow as we come to see you off, my darling. The next dance? Definitely on your wedding day please don’t forget my invitation, my osiepna! โค๏ธ ๐

oh "Auntie Lucy",
You are one of my daughters favorite person in the world. Though she came to your salon only once she still thinks you are the authority on all things beauty. And she's not wrong. You have walked through some of my darkest valleys alongside me. But we've also blown out too many birthday candles to count and ... welcomed new members into the family. Honestly, what more could you hope for in a friend.
I love you, Lucy.
